Question

I need to remove my door handle on my bedroom
door to install a new one. The door handle is
probably 20 years old and it does not have a
visible screw anywhere in sight. I was able to move the outer casing, and i see a screw, but i am not able to reach it. I don't want
to scratch the door, so i am not sure how to get the handle off. I apologize for being so stupid, but i am not a very good fix it person Any help would be greatly apprectiated! THANKS

Push the outer casing back in place. You should see a small hole in the narrow shaft of the handle. Sometimes it is a slot.

Using something like a stout paperclip or small screwdriver (depends on the hole size) push it into the hole and pull on the handle. It should come off now.

Now you can disassemble the remaining lockset.
