I have a two year old house with windows that are wood framed and painted. I am looking for any do it yourself covering that will eliminate that nasty need of re-painting.

The only product I know of to do this is aluminum trim coil. It is only DIY if you have access to a metal bending brake.

This is the tool that I/they make fascia with.

Hi, well to be honest there is nothing on the market that you can use to cover the outside of your windows with that will look decent, people have asked me in the past to cover the outside of their wooden windows but I have refused to do it as the finish is not good, its better to continue painting them, yes it is a labouriouse job but they will look better in the long run, I hope this helps a little, Handyman

Why don't you use metal window coverings. They come in all colors. Never need painting, easy to install and look like the real thing. We install lots of them.
