leaking around window

Several years ago I replaced my windows with sliding windows. The siding is redwood. Now there is a leak that shows up as damp drywall on the inside at the lower edge of the window. How do I find the problem and fix it?

You have already found the problem, it is leaking water. Now the solution. Hard to say, but I would start by re-caulking the entire window, and your brickmold trim also.
Then wait and see. Let us know if this does not work. Use a good caulk. The $5.00 a tube stuff.
