window frame plans
#1

Do you know of anyone that has any window frame plans? My house is over 100 years old and has leaded gl*** windows in the dinning room but the frame that holds the upper window pane is rotting. I have all the tools to make new frames like table saw, compound miter saw, etc. Mostly I wonder about joining the corners but A complete cutting guide and drawing would be really nice.
Thanks so much for your time!

I'm sure there are a lot of books available- but you don't need one.
The good news is that if you take the old window sash apart, it's construction will be obvious. The bad news is that you need a router table or shaper and a set of cutters called "sash rail and stile" to match your existing.Expect to spend $200-500 for the cutters alone. Then you get to make the tenons, sill bevel, meeting rail interlock, sash cord pocket, etc.
I don't mean to discourage you-i have done this job a few times, and the work is very satisfying, but the tooling is very expensive and won't be used for any other job, with the possible exception of door construction.
If you decide to p*** this time, look under millwork in the phone book for a company that will match your sash.
