replacing exterior door

I just bought a 32 yr old home - found out the front exterior door is hollow - not hung right... lots of drafts coming in... have already weather stripped it to no avail. If I replace it with a steel door will that help and can I do it myself? ( with help of course)

It will help....a bunch.....and if a standard prehung door will fit in, it's not too bad a job.

Trimming Windows

Is it reasonable to trim a window with 1x material? If not, what do you use. I have installed new windows in new construction. I do not want to trim out the inside of the windows with drywall as I have seen lots of moisture problems through the year using this. I would rather use a dimension lumber. Thanks.Read More
