window putty

I have old (1910) double hung windows, and have a couple torn apart....long story short, the wind blew the bottom of one out the other day, and I have to replace the glass....what is the best putty/caulking to use????

Aluminum replacement window installation

I have bought a aluminum low - e single hung replacement window to replace my aluminum single windows in my Brick house,,,,what is the best way to get the old windows out and how do I screw the new windows in,,,The new window does'nt have holes in the side to put a screw through,,,I just bought one at this time to give it a try,,, I would appreciate alittle assistance,,,Thanks MikeRead More

Want to install new interior hollow core doors in my house. I will hire someone to do the work since I travel to much and have no time to do so. What is the average cost to put in a prehung unit. What is the average cost to trim these doors and some windows. Then what is the charge to install base. 2 1/4" casing 3" base w/base shoe. I have all the materials allready, just need to hire an installer and not pay to much but a fair price. Thanks, coachRead More
