Casement Window Mfr - Help!
#1

We will be making a decision as to doors and windows for our new house within the next couple of weeks and wanted some input. After looking closely at samples and talking with some builders, I have ruled out Andersen and Peachtree.
Marvin just dropped their price on the package to close to the Pella Proline cost, which is great because I think that the Marvins are the best all around.
With this in mind, the Norco price is a great deal less (over $20,000) than the Marvin, and I'm wondering if the Marvins (or any of the other brands) are worth this premium.
Anyone had experience with the Norco product?
Here are some numbers for comparion:
I have adjusted the numbers by a factor so that they are all relative (not reflective of overall price). All of the windows are casement, low E, argon, with special pattern SDL. Also, lot of arches and almost all doors and windows have transom windows above. We have four sets of double french doors (both sides operable) and four single leaf french doors. Screens are included on all operable windows. The Marvin, Pella and Norco all feature fold-away cranks.
Brand..............Windows......Doors
Andersen 400.......$5,529.......$1,491
Eagle..............$6,021.......$1,618
Marvin.............$5,987.......$1,550
Peachtree..........$6,488.......$1,524
Pella Proline......$5,404.......$1,525
Pella Designer.....$7,777.......$1,719
Norco..............$4,415.......$1,051
Thanks for the help.

Norco has two (2) lines of casements. The top of the line is the Teton Series and my guess is that that's what you've been quoted but you need to be sure. Their other series (Siteline ) is not comparable to the Marvin product. Marvin would probably still have an edge on quality, options, and certainly name recognition, but once they're installed I doubt that you'd ever regret not spending the $20,000.00. I have sold Norco in the past, and know of no inherant problems with the product. I do not sell them now and have no affiliation with the company in any way.
I would suggest checking the features on the doors item for item, Norco does have good prices on doors but the difference seems a little much.
Good luck
