Replacement Bifold doors not closing

The old bifold doors to our laundry area fell apart, literally. We purchased new doors, had them stained, and I tried to install them today, but they won't close! It's as if they're 2-3" (total between the two) too long, but the measurements of the doors are identical to the old ones (60" opening, 2 30" doors). I did replace the center stop, but I've kept the other mounting hardware from the old doors (which appears to work with the new ones - everything fits, and when closed there's no excessive gaps).

I'm perplexed as to what the problem is or how to fix it. Any suggestions?

the panels should be less than 30" each for a 60" opening...Room is requried at each side. (check the panels which should be 29.75 each.....your doors are most likey missing by a little which seems like two to three....The top and bottom pins on the old doors may have been located slightly different than the new news.open the doors and adjust the top pin holders so the door edge is moved over towards the jam..The bottom adjustment is either a lift and place or an an adjustable bracket.......Loosen the set screw at the top bracket, slide the bracket towards the wall and tighten it. Remove the center stop until the doors are adjusted properly.

The panels are actually 29 7/16" and 29 9/16" (yay for consistancy!). I fiddled with the top pin holders and finally got them to shut, but one door is rubbing against a piece of moulding when opening/closing. Some more fiddling and I should be able to fix that...

Thanks for the advice, it inspired me to measure and fiddle some more (and wake up my wife... oops).
