Installing Window Screens

Are 'ready-made' windows screens (w/frame) of different dimensions available. Or is building and installing a window screen the way to go. I have windows with the following dimensions: 27 inch x 22 inch; 20 inch x 22 inch; and 24 inch x 22 inch. Are these standard dimensions?

installing window screens

johnam,
thanks for the message. I dont know the brand etc. Let me try and describe it. This is an old house located in Sunnyvale, CA (45 yrs). The window has 3 sections. The left and right sections are all glass - no window screen possible - each section about 40 inch by 22 inch approx. The middle section has 2 equal parts. The top is all glass and the bottom is glass plus has space for the screen. Some windows have the screen and some dont. I am trying to find a screen for this lower half of the middle section.
any idea about the rates if its a metal frame (not Al.)
Dont know if this helps?!

Are you saying that you have some screens that you could use as a sample? If you do, go to your yellow pages under "Screens, window & door"

Either make the screens you need yourself, or go to a glass shop and have them made. If your time is worth nothing, then doing them yourself is certainly the way to go. You'll save $5 to $8 per screen.
