I bought a door that came with the frame and had it installed. At the bottom corner, light can be seen when the door is closed. What's missing is the furry or felt peice that used to be attached to the frame. Where can I get this little piece? Home Depot doesn't have it. Scorpions are getting in!!! I've tried a little piece of rubber weatherstripping, but it tears off. I only need to put something there that is about 2 inches high. It's on the doorknob side. Thanks!

Is the light showing under the door, or on the vertical edge (the jamb)? If the gap is on the jamb, simply install a jamb-up weatherstripping set. That has an aluminum strip with vinyl weatherstripping that will seal to the door. Comes in a set with both jamb pieces (about 82" long) and the header piece (about 37" long). If the gap is under the door, between the door and the threshold, install a sweep that will seal to the threshold. Hope this helps.

Yes, it's on the side jam, about the last bottom inch. The door jam isn't straight. The jam itself has the inserted foam that came with the door and boxed jam. Do I need to remove that in order to use the new long piece? Thanks for the reply!

Hi:Lindak

You stated you had this door completely installed? Then I would think it wasn't done correctly.

I suggest you contact the retailer where this door and frame was purchased from and tell them the problem.

Request they send the installer back to make the needed corrections.
