Door closing by itself

Hi. I just moved into an 85 year old house. None of the doors are the same size, plumb, etc. Problem Of The Week: The bathroom door closes by itself within about 3 seconds. I understand that the problem is something out of plumb; is there a rule of thumb for "if it closes by itself move the top hinge this way or that."?? How do I cope with self-closing and self-opinging doors?

Well, you can shim the hinges to a more plumb setting OR,
try this first: Remove the hinge pins and give them a fair tap with a hammer on concrete. The bend in the pin should allow the door to stay open, It has worked for me.
