Cool

3-In-1 oil has worked great for me for many years.

Spray silicon -- no oil, and no oil residue to collect dirt and dust.

Sounds good. Any particular brand? Can I use the one for bicycle chains? (I forget the name just now----Tri-something, I think)

BRAND of spray silicon?? No, just whatever is on the shelf at whatever store I happen to be buying it at. (Sometimes ACE, sometimes NAPA, sometimes HD, ...)

I use White Lithium grease on my CAR door and trunk latches and hinges. Didn't know if I should use it on houselhold door hinges. Currently using Silicone spray in the house, but wasn't sure if there was something better.
