Plastic buttons

Does anyone know where I can find these plastic "buttons" that go over the screw heads in double paned windows? It's more aesthetic than anything else. Without it, the heads of the black screws are visible. I called the company that installed the windows, and basically they sent me the wrong stuff. I checked Home Depot, but their windows do not have screws that show the heads, so they don't sell these plastic buttons. Any help will be great!!!!

Thanks,
Nadine

Contact the manufacturer of your windows. They can probably fix you up.

I went on the website and found the local distributor of my windows, and after 5 calls, emails, they finally sent me some "buttons," but it was the wrong type. The buttons they sent me were the ones that go into the screw heads. I needed ones that go around the heads, and I explained that to them.

When I talked with them, I got the impression that it was like a big chore to get my simple question answered, and here I am, still in the same position as I was one month ago. Some company must make them.

Yeah, the kind you want snap over the screw directly or use a metal or plastic cupped sorta washer under the screw head that the cap snapps onto....

The window outfit I used to buy from used them where ever exposed screws were used....and they are easy to pop off and loose.....

I entered " screw covers" in Yahoo and got a bunch of returns....here's the first one...

http://www.pro-dec.com/products.htm

Unfortunately, they sell them commercially and by the thousand, which is probably a few more than you need...ahahahaha

If the snap over type is it what you need and you need 'em in white, I might dig up a few laying around my shop if you want them...

Hey Andy,

Thanks for the help. I couldn't get any hits on Yahoo, but I did a search on google and typed in plastic screw coverings, and low and behold, I actually had a hit. And, it was the site you forwarded. I was so happy. To order from them however, I needed a minimum order of....1000! A bit too much I might add. The site did list down places where I could get a smaller quantity. Two of the places are located by me. I'm going tomorrow to one of the places to pick them up.

I really appreciate the offer of finding some for me, and doing a search. If I don't find what I need....I'm gonna take you up on your offer!!!

Thanks again!!
Nadine
