Thumbs down New Window +patio door + Entry Doors/ precision entry - sugarcreek

The place I bought the patio door and entry doors and the 1 window from also installs them, Well the company sent one man out to install 3 doors and a 2 pannel crank out window and a storm door it was suppose to be done 3 weeks ago but is not done yet ,anyways the problem i am having is he installed the patio sliding door and 1 entry door but there is a problem with the threshold they both stick up from the floor like 2 1/2 to 3 inches where we are tripping over them ,I asked the installer
about it he states this is propper,I said the doors you took out
were not like this he said the were installed wrong, so i called the company back they said we sent you the best installer we have he knows what he is doing, then the company said o~yeah
Mr Mxxxx we need the second payment for the materials
I said to them when these doors are installed right I will pay you
for them, he then said who do you think you are you send that payment now, I don`t know what to do. I have already paid
them $xxxx.00 hundred and now he wants another 25,
I can see it happening someone tripping or breaking there toe
because the patio door leads out to the pool and the kids running in and out, it almost looks like i have to put a new sub floor down to raise it to meet the threshold Anyone have a suggestion
Thanks Mike

You are probably responsible for some sort of payment for materials or what ever... I am not sure what you have already paid, or what the laws are in your state. Id get on the phone and get someone else to come out and look at these and give you a second opinion immediatly.

Thanks Popeye68

Yes getting someone out this week just to look at it and let me know he said he would charge me a hours pay and he would refund it if he got the job ,I think that wouild be fair $55.00.
Also I agree that i should pay for the matterials the one i keep
but this window he put in it looks like he took it out from somewhere else and dump it into my house it is all scratched and dirty like crud in the crank handle ,and the door is a steel doors but the insullation was pushed up in the glass area and looks like shxt, and then the patio door he left the old piece of lead flashing there it is all full of tears and holes and magled the inside track for the patio door sits up 3 inches ,I would have to bevel cut a 2x4
and nail it to the floor to make it look somewhat normal and this company is charging $6700.00 for one window 2 entry doors
a patio door and 1 storm door + installation my contract states the only thing i will have to do is paint some new trim well there is no new trim he used all the srcapes wood from pulling out the old stuff it looks like a joke I had my brother inlaw over yesterday he was rotflo for 15 min .
But I just wanted to thank you for the quick reply you gave me
I will let you know the out come.

You might want to also take some pictures for reference down the road. I had all the single pane windows replaced with new vinyl coated dual pane windows, added an 8' slider along with the one that was already here and also added a very large bay window. (7 windows, 2 sliders & bay window) removal & installation came to around $10,000.00
Good Luck
