Replace a Threshold??

Hi,

I purchased a solid coor interior door with rubber weatherstripping for sound proofing a room. ANyway, I wanted a threshold so that the door would seal on the bottom also. No gaps are wanted. When I got the door in, they gave me an interior threshold which is completely flat. There is a sweep on the bottom of the door but there is still an air gap between the thresholod and the bottom of the door.

What type of threshold would seal the bottom of the door too. Also is it hard to replace the threshold on the door now. The door has not been installed. I would like an aluminum threshold since this is being located in the basement and the threshold will be in direct contact with the concrete floor.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

Cool

You can use an aluminum threshold by drilling small anchor holes in the concrete with a masonry bit.
You can buy adjustable height sweeps with rubber seals across the bottom to attach to the door before installing it, and then adjust the seal to the threshold.
Just shop around. They will be available at most building supply places.
Good Luck!
