Removing a vinyl window from a metal frame

Hi,

This week I start (& hopefully finish ) the demo phase of my bathroom re-build project. Everything is going, except for a ceiling fan and the window. However the frame for the window has to go - it is metal, ugly, prone to rust, etc.

I will be tearing out drywall so getting at the frame & removing that shouldn't be a big deal, however I've never removed a window (vinyl) from a frame. The window has been in place for probably 5 years or so, the caulk is hard & non pliable.

How do people usually remove such a window? I don't know if a razor knife will work or not. I'm also concerned that I might cut the vinyl so any hints would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob

it might just be easier to remove the frame and vynil window as a unit or strategically disassemble it with a reciprocating saw.
