leaded glass door striking jamb

leaded glass door striking jamb
leaded glass entry door (3'0" with 1'0" side lights on each side), all prehung and installed as a unit. Problem is the top of the door stirkes the side jamb and you can see a visible difference in the clearance around the jamb. I pulled the door off, checked the jamb top and sides with a level, jamb seems to be reasonably square and is plumb. I didn't check the level of the door with it hung
I think I will do that tomorrow. The barrell of the top hinge doens't exactly line up smooth, not enough to drop the door 3/16" anyway. I tried recessing the hinges a little futhr in the door & jamb to see if that would make a difference but no luck. The jamb is well secured in the frame with long screws, doesn't appear to be able to be moved.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Hal

The frame for the entire unit (door and the 2 sidelites) is racked. You'll need to pull the casings off (both sides and the top, interior and exterior) and reshim it so that the door sits in it's jamb properly. Start your reshimming on the hinge side of the door, and then go the the latch side. The threshold should be sitting fully on the subfllor -- don't mess with that. And the top SHOULD fall in on it's own once the jambs are set right.
