Bedroom door want stay open

My bedroom door of my 25 yr old home (it's a french door) will not stay open. The 2 Hinges are tight and the door appears level. If I hold it open (to the door stop) it waits a second and closes about 1/4 of the the way and stops. Any ideas?

The door doesn't think it's plumb. You need to put a plumb bob up close to the door and determine which dimension isn't perfectly vertical.

If you are having a hard time figuring this out, experiment with a hard-cover book. The front cover would be the door, the rest of the book would be the frame.

Open the 'door' and see what 'frame' orientation would create the situation you have.

Hi, Pull a hinge pin, lay it on some concrete, smack that sucker with a hammer, reinstall the pin. Done.
