back door sill
Am in the process of putting tile on the kitchen floor. Have added 1/2" plywood and am going to add 1/4" hardibacker plus thinset plus 3/8" tile. This will raise the floor a little over an inch. How do I raise the back door sill and threshold to match this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I would cut back the jamb trim, raise the threshold, and shim it into place. Then come up with some sort of ramping to make the transition to the outside concrete, brick, or whatever exterior may exist.
