attic windows

Am in the process of putting tile on the kitchen floor. Have added 1/2" plywood and am going to add 1/4" hardibacker plus thinset plus 3/8" tile. This will raise the floor a little over an inch. How do I raise the back door sill and threshold to match this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I hope this is the right forum for this question. I have a screened patio. All screen frames are 1" wood with a slot routed on the edges facing the inside of each frame (10 screens). The existing screening is held in by splines in these routed grooves. Last year I tried to replace the screening in some of the smaller frames and, while I managed to get it done, it doesn't look great and took forever. The corners are extremely difficult as you might imagine. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on an easier method to replace the screening in the remainder of the windows (large 60"H x 42" W, or thereabouts). Thanks. JimC:(
