door expansion

hello,
i am hanging a large oak door. the fit is very tight. my question is, with summer coming, about how much can i expect this door to expand in humid weather?

Hung properly, the door will have about 1/8" gap across the top and down both sides. Weatherstripping is used to seal the top and the sides, and the threshold weatherstripping will seal the bottom.

If it's hung properly, you won't have a problem.

seal all six sides so moisture is not easily absorbed by the wood.

Outside Door Alignment

Good Day, Last week the wind caught my backdoor which swings outward to a back patio. Now when I try to close it the gap has become a bit smaller and the door is a lot tougher to close. Nothing was torn on the hinges or damaged and I am now pondering how I can try to knock the hinges in tight again to allow better clearance for easy opening and closing. Thanks for your time on this. painting vinyl windows??

Can you paint these? I've got nice, triple pane windows, but they are tan frames. I want them white. Thanks to this site, I know how to take care of my black, metal frames, but what about vinyl? If I can paint them, how? I'm very new at this, so specifics really help. Thanks. This site has helped me so much! Mary
