replacement windows
I want to replace an Andersen casement with an Andersen or Pella double hung. What's the best way to measure for the new window without removing the old one?

If you remove the interior casing around the window it'll be very easy to get an accurate measurement of your rough opening. Be careful when removing the trim so as not to crack or break it if your plan on reusing the same trim which would be preferrable in most cases if you're just replacing the one window.
