Replacement Windows

I am looking at replaceing my windows, all the instructions I read tell you to do it from the inside. In my case it looks like it would be easy to do it from the outside. From the inside I would have to take off the caseing to get to the stop. From the outside just take off the stop and the old window should come out. Does this sound like a ok way to do it?
Thanks,Bob

What kind of windows do you presently have? Wood frame or aluminum? Single/double hung, casement, or horizontal sliders?

The windows I want to replace are wood frame double hung. They were made by Malta. They have plastic slides the windows fit in.

I've done them both ways, and either works. It's usually a matter of which is easier to get to, and which is going to give you the most certain seal from the outside elements.

Thanks,I'll start with a small window (24x38) and see how it goes.
