pocket doors

Hi, I'm planning a bedroom in the basement and would like to install a pocket door to save space. Unfortunately, I know what I want, but not how to get there. I'm planning on framing with 2X4's. What do I need to consider in the area of the door? Do I need to go with a 6 inch wall and frame near the door with 2X2? Is there a kit available for a pocket door(ie. door, track, hardware)? Do I need to modify a conventional door?

Any help and information I can get will be appreciated.

Thanks
