Special Sliding Door
#1

I am looking for running gear for a sliding door. Only trouble is I don't just want a straight track so the door hangs outside the jambs. What i'm looking for is track that is curved at the ends so at the final moment the door swings in and ends up between the jambs. I am unable to fit a pocket door as the walls both sides are solid brick. Does anyone know of any manufacturers that does this kind of thing? (and doesn't cost the earth!)

I suspect that you want to inset the leaf within the opening then snake it around, so that it's parallel to the wall when open. One source for that type of hardware: K N Crowder - Ontario, Canada. Cost? If you can't afford to solve the problem your way find another solution.
Pivot hinges are one option.
