Interior door replacement - tool advice needed
I am replacing an interior hollow core door with a glass panel door, and I am doing so by replacing the door slab, instead of using a pre-hung door. I need to trim 1/4 of an inch off the side of a standard 30" x 80 " door. What kind of saw should I use to make that cut?
Thanks for your advice,
Ernie

This new glass panel door, is a wood door with glass panels, Im presuming.
.
What Ive done, is use a regular circular saw and set up a long, straight guide, maybe a 1x4 or similar, that you can clamp to the door's length to use a fense for the saw to rest against and follow thru for the cut.
The circular saw is easier to handle and with the fence, shouldnt be to difficult to do.
Good luck
