Is window replacement an easy task?

Window replacement is generally pretty simple but some things to think about include.........
1. What kind of windows are there now?
2. Are they on the ground floor?.............or higher?
3. What kind of siding is on the house?
In general, installing double glazed, low-e windows is a great investment. The savings on heating & cooling will be significant and they should add to the resale value of the house. You should also check with the local power company about rebates for energy effecient installations. In CA, PG&E offers rebates of $1 per square foot for energy efficient doors and windows.

I've made a decision to have a few free in-home estimates from different companies so they can explain the process in front of me. I'm definitely leaning towards Andersen, but my dad doesn't care for the wood. Those are the best, I've heard. Maybe I'll check their website. Thanx DAVE.
