How to remove antique window from wood?

I have purchased antique stained glass windows from overseas which arrived apparently sawn out of a building with wood, frame, putty and nails still attached. How can I remove the window without damaging the glass???

If it's an antique, the putty must be dried out & missing in spots and the wood frame must be weak in the corners. If this is the case, try seperating one corner of the frame gently with a hammer and block of wood and the frame will be easy to remove from the glass.
