rain-soaked door sticking
We had a heavy wind-driven rainstorm and a large foyer window above the front door leaked badly. Now, the door sticks on the side of door handle and is hard to open. The jamb must have gotten wet and expanded. This only happened last night, so it may shrink as it dries out.
Is there anything I can do to adjust the door so it shifts toward the hinge side a little more? I don't want to adjust it too much that it affects the weather stripping.

some hinges (like Anderson) have an adjustment in the hinge, using a 5/32 allen key. You can also adjust hinges with a special tool that moves the hinge in or out. Also, you can remove the screws in the hinge at the jamb ( not the door ) place a 1/14 x 20 washer behind the hinge at the screws nearest to the inside and it will force your door toward the hinge jamb giving you room on the latch side. But when your door dries out, you may have a huge gap. After doing any adjustments on your door, always check that it still locks, and adjust accordingly
Unless it's hurting your finnish I would wait a few days for it to dry out.
