door leaking between door and threshold
I've installed a new exterior door. I've noticed that when it rains, water will seep between the door and the threshold piece and puddle on the interior floor. I've tried to raise the threshold, but it needs to go up about another 1/8" to be effective, but at that point, the threshold gets wobbly.
Under the door, there is a piece of weatherstripping that has five rubber fins. There is nothing that compresses.
Does anyone have any thoughts on sealing that opening?

Those pieces of rubber are supposed to seal the door. Was this a pre-hung door that you installed frame and all or just the door? You may have to put some sort of shim under the threshold to steady and raise it. OR you may be able to lower the rubber seal. Good luck.

A lot of thresholds now a days have adjustable thresholds.
Take a look and see if yours does. If you do you will see 4 to 5 screws in the top of it, clock wise lowers , counter, raises.

It's a prehung door. I've adjusted the screws to the point of the threshold piece wobbling. I figured there's got to be some other way to keep the rain out.

You may have to take the door off and see if the sweep (rubber thing) can be adjusted out further. Or get a thicker one. Being pre-hung you should not be having this problem.

maybe I missunderstood you, so let me say this over.
If you raised your new door at all while installing it, you should have continuously shimmed the threshold to make it more solid.
As far as the adjustment goes, it will be " wobblie ".
It's not ment to step on, it's ment to step over and to seal to the door.
I have the same threshold in my house, and " if " it's steped on, it will give a little. Thats just how they are made. So my advice is not to step on it, so it doesn't bother you.
And no, I'm not trying to be smart about it, just telling it like it is.
