Post Double Hung Wood Window Sill Replacement

I need to replace an exterior wood sill that goes across the bottom of 2 double hung wood windows. Haven't done it before so I'd appreciate any advice on how to go about it. Thanks.

hi
you might check with a window company if you can buy one.
If not you will need table saw to to the work.
you have to bevel it to make the sill.
u can used a 2/6 or other side, cut it to the right lenght and belel it.
A saw all would be ok to cut the old one out and used the old as template.
then just shim it under it to make it fit tite and nail it in and used silicone to seal off the cracks

hope this helps

cheers

Thanks for the info. I know the local Lowes carries replacement sills so I'm going to give it a try. I just didn't know how difficult it was to remove and replace a sill that spans 2 adjacent windows - whether there were any tricks, etc. I should know about? Thanks again.
