Anderson Sliding Door

Hello to all. I have been browsing the site and can't find an answer to a question I have, so I am hoping I can get some help here. I have read through some of the threads, but did not see anything that relates to this.

I just installed an Anderson french wood sliding glass door in my house. I started putting the sheetrock back on the wall and realized I have no idea how to complete the edges. If I butt the rock up against the door frame, how do I keep a gap from appearing. (The door frame in the case being the vinyl edge that the door locks into.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

hi
just install casing around the door and leave 1/8 or 1/4 in allaround the door frame edge.
Nailed it to the stud under the drywall and used latex caulk to finish of the space between the drywall and casing and the frame from the door.

cheers

Thanks

Thanks for the information. I thought putting the door in was going to be difficult, but that took a total of about 5 hours. Finishing the wall, on the other hand, is proving to be more difficult.

Thanks again.
