Bifold doors

I have plans to install a pair of 24" bifold doors. I'm trying to figure out what the rough framing opening should be. According to the manufacturer, the "finished" opening should be 48"x80-5/8". THe doors don't come prehung, so it's like I'm going to be creating a cased opening, then hanging the doors inside it, which is fine with me. I just dont' know what size to frame the opening? I'm kind of tight on space, and would like it to be as small as possible. Anyone have a rule of thumb?

The jamb that goes around the bifolds will be 3/4 thick on the left, right, and top. So your rough opening will need to be at least 50x82. this will allow you about 1/4" of space on the sides and 3/4" on top. Once you build and insert the jamb, your finished opening should be exactly what they suggest.
