prehung int. door, uneaven floor
hi-
i'm installing a prehung solid wood door (my first) in a hallway with a sloping floor. the slope gives me a difference of 1/4" from one side of the jamb to the other thus making it seemingly impossible to keep the door square with the jamb.
should i trim 1/4" off of the high side leg (strike side) or is there a better way to remedy the problem?

Set a level in the opening to determine exactly how much out of level it is. If the bottom of the jambs will be covered by carpet, you could shim the low jamb up by that amount.
Otherwise, yes. Cut that amount off the side that is high.
