Door leaks at the bottem
I have a rear door that leaks at the bottem every time it rains. Any suggestions?

It could be several things.
Is the door new- was it recently installed? If so, you might need a storm door. If the water is coming in from underneath the door frame, the door has not been sealed underneath, so the only thing you can do now is caulk the bottom of the door on the inside and outside of the house. Your door may also have an adjustable threshold that could be tightened by turning the 4 screws located along the threshold. Or it could be that the weatherstrip that is stapled to the bottom of the door needs to be replaced. You could also have water coming in from above which is running down the sides of the door and only becoming apparent once it reaches the floor and begins to pool.
If the door is old, again, you might want a storm door, or perhaps some add-on weatherstrip could help. It could also be that the threshold needs to be replaced.

You're welcome, Neat. They make a weatherstrip set for old doors that is like a rubber bulb on a piece of aluminum. 3 pieces- one for the top and two long ones for the sides. You just push it against the door and nail it on. That might help stop any rain that hits the door and runs down the sides.
