Question Pre-hung entry door vs. Non ???

Hello, I'm curious to what's all involved in dealing with "non" pre-hung door. I've installed many pre-hung doors but never a "non"? I'm currently in the process of building a house and noticed "SOLID WOOD (MAHOGANY) ENTRANCE DOOR WITH SIDELIGHTS" on Ebay. It's a really good price but I'm sure there are Pros vs. Cons to this. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

no bids from me!

I wouldnt mess with it myself, i saw it on EBAy. You would have to mortise out the hinges and drill the lock and deadbolt.I'm a door installer with about 10 yrs in the business and i wouldnt want that job, plus the shipping, no way would i trust the frame. The door weighs a ton, i'n no fan of those doors. Why would you want wood doors? If ya got to have the wood look, go fiberglass, no way would i ever pay the price or want a wooden door, they are bad news.I would turn that job down in a heartbeat.Prehung is the ONLY way as far as i'm concerned! Plus he kind of over inflated the value price!

Not to mention that I'm sure it's not *real* mahogany. Probably an imported imitation.
