commercial door weatherstripping

One of the churches I attend has a double [glass & alum] door at the entrance. The weatherstripping on the toe edge of one door [seals the gap when the 2 are closed] has been ripped and needs replacing. It has a 'T' spline where it slides into the groove on the door. My question is where do you go to buy this type of weatherstripping? Everything in the yellow pages seams to be geared toward house or garage doors.

PVC compression weatherstripping

I have a 13 YO fiberglass front door that has original PVC compression weatherstripping I need to replace. None of the local merchants carry it. I think I've found something similar in the DIY store at... [URL=http://doityourself.com/store/6811434.htm]DIY Store[/URL] ...but it says it's for metal doors. I have two questions: 1) can it be used on a fiberglass door anyway? and 2) can it be painted? It's white and my door is red with dark brown moldings. Thanks for your help!Read More

casement window problem

We just moved into a house with casement windows. This is our first experience with casement windows, and it has not been a good one so far! Here's the problem: The groove (or mechanism) that the slide arm travels in at the bottom of the sash has a hole in the middle. The hole is there so that you can easily take the slide arm out of the mechanism. The problem is that the slide arm droops a little, so if you crank the window open to or past the half way point, the slide arm hits the hole and falls out of the groove. Then you have to physically put the slide arm back into the groove either by going outside or by taking off the crank and screen and manually inserting the arm back in the mechanism -- either is a major hassle. We don't know enough about this type of window to know how to fix this problem. We have 11 of these windows, and they *all* have this problem.
