PVC compression weatherstripping
I have a 13 YO fiberglass front door that has original PVC compression weatherstripping I need to replace. None of the local merchants carry it. I think I've found something similar in the DIY store at...

...but it says it's for metal doors. I have two questions:
1) can it be used on a fiberglass door anyway? and
2) can it be painted? It's white and my door is red with dark brown moldings.

That weatherstripping is only good for steel doors since it has magnetic material in it to seal against the steel door.
