Question Pre-hung doors before or after floor install?

I'm having my carpet replaced with laminate flooring so I replaced my closet and bathroom door. Since this was my first time, I guess I should have read some of the tips of the trade. I pulled up the carpet and placed the closet door on the cement slab. I got a little smarter with the second door, I placed tile under the jambs to allow for the flooring then checked for level. I guess I should have also cut the jambs because now the there is to much space between the door and floor for my taste.

Should I have waited for the floors to be installed first?
