French doors bottom seals
The seals were leaking water. So i replaced with a set that screw to the inside of the door. The door closes pretty well but is very stiff to open. The threshhold doesn't appear to be adjustable. Any advice will help. Thanks

Had the same problem a few years back with my new french doors..
The "inside" strip that you put on is probably moving easily one direction and hard the other because the rubber strip bends towards the inside of the house when closing the door. When trying to open it, it can't bend the other way, thereby causing enough friction to cause it to "hang up" on the floor surface.
I prefer bottom strips with multiple rows of rubber edging. It's difficult to get either type adjusted "just right" to provide for a weather seal (tight enough) yet allow the door to swing (loose enough).
Keep adjusting till you get the "best fit" for your particular door/floor.

I'd try to find the correct seal for the bottom of your door and replace it. Take the doors off their hinges and remove the weatherstrip from the bottom of the door, take it into a millwork department at the lumberyard of your choice, and have them order you a couple new ones.
It suprises me that your thresholds aren't adjustable... no screws to adjust? I suppose if they are low-end doors, they had to cut some corners somewhere.
If there are no wedge-shaped foam pads at the bottom corners of the door, water could be leaking in there as well.

Thanks for the input. the seal is one with multiple strips. after a couple days, the door seems to be opening alot better. It's supposed to rain today that will be a good test.
