metal exterior door

Have a standard metal exteriior door that goes from the kitchen into the breeseway (breeseway was added a couples years after house was built). During the summer the door is removed but is put back on in the winter as we close the breeseway off. The door has always stuck alittle pulling the rubber gasket at the bottom and you can see the door is hung slightly crooked. Is there any technique in shimming one or more hinges to adjust this door so it does not bind? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Take 1 screw out of the top hinge (one of the screws that is closest to the weatherstrip), and replace it with a 3" long screw and tighten it quite snug. That should pull the latch side of the door up so that the bottom doesn't drag, and should increase the gap along the side (above the latch) and decrease the gap along the top (on the latch side).

To XSleeper/metal door

Remove screw from the hinge on the door jam or hinge on the door itself?

The one on the jamb. The 3" screw should go into a stud and pull the jamb tighter in that location, thus raising the door a tad.
