artistry on doors

Are artistic pictures or designs allowed on exterior house doors or is this considered grafitti? What are the housing codes?

You would have to check with your local building department or if you live in a certain community you may have a home owners association to deal with.

opening for bi fold doors

I have a sort of built in area in one of the bedrooms. It is the area over the closets downstairs. When the builder's son was young he had a twin mattress up there. I have always had shelves in that area. Problem-I want to put bi fold doors to hide the "stuff". I have searched and short of having them custom built, I cannot find doors that are wide enough. So, how can I build up the frames on the sides so it doesn't look like my doors don't fit? Louise :)

I am replacing my roof and also wanted to replace a skylight that is about 25 years old because it is questionable that it is leaking but just assued that I sholuld replace it to avoid any problems. My qustion is that this unit was manufactered by therma-vue (sp?). Does anyone know if this company is still around or did they go out of business etc. thanks.
