glass storm door icing up in winter

I have a full glass panel storm door on the front of my home. The inside door is steel. Ever since it was installed, in winter months it has a tendency of icing up, sometimes to the point of a thick layer of ice so it is impossible to see out. What causes this? Any help would be appreciated.

It was bought and installed by Sears, Roebuck.

Your storm door is trapping humid air between your steel door and the storm door. If your storm door was drafty, you probably wouldn't have this problem. If the door has a small vent screen, at the very top or bottom, try opening it a bit to get some ventilation. You could check the weatherstrip on the steel door to ensure that it isn't letting too much warm air from the home out there. You could also tighten the adjustable threshold on the steel door, if it has one.
