Caulking Interior Window Frames
The caulk around my windows (interior) is discolored and brittle. If I want to re-caulk the windows, what is the proper way to do it? I realize I must remove the old caulk first, but what kind of caulk do I use. Should I wait until Spring, when things warm up - a few of my windows get condensation on them. I suppose water and caulk don't mix, right?
Thanks

I would suggest that first you find out why your windows have condensation. Possibly your humidity is too high.
Remove old caulking with a putty knife. Buy any good quality caulking. I suggest outdoor caulking, since it will withstand temperature changes and moisture better.
You can put on caulking any time of year. Dry the area first, though.
Now, just put in the new caulking (try not to get too much on your fingers or on the window).
Davey.
