new construction - have lg closets, need door advice
#1

being new to the game, when our architect drew in 7, 8, and 10 foot closets for our 3 bedrooms, we didn't even think of what doors we were going to put on there. as i'm not particularly fond of the sliding doors, i was hoping to use bifold doors but getting doors to add up to 10' seems difficult. anybody have any suggestions as to the best way to door our closets? i have seen someone put in 2 sets of regular doors. that looked nice but i'm wondering if bi-fold wouldn't be more economical? thanks in advance for your input.

7' & 8' is not a problem. 10' can be done, but it is going to need 2-1/2' of free floor space in front of the closet to get them to open.
Personally, if the house is still on the drawing board, I would look at going to walk in closets and using a standard swinging door, if any door at all.

Yes, returns and 6' doors work too. As long as the house is still on the drawing board, make your changes. They are CHEAP! Once the plans are approved and construction begins, changes are going to get expensive!!
