WIndow pricing
I have 3 48 X 60 wood dindows in my front room that need replacing. I want to put in horizontal sliding vinal windows in. What can i ecpect to pay for a decent window installation. No bells and whistles neede, just a good window that will last.

Window prices are like car prices. The 'nameplate', the dealer, and whatever options you may choose are going to determine the price.
The only way that you are going to get accurate figures for the project is to call several contractors and get estimates. They're free. Ask for references AND CHECK THEM.
Windows are only as good as the INSTALLATION, and a poor job of installing them will result in a nightmare for you.
