Question

Andersen Tape Balancer Replacement?

Does anyone have a guide as to how to replace the sash tape-balancer of an Andersen Perma-Shield Narroline DH window? The Andersen website is not much help.

When you purchase the balance it will come with detailed instructions. Go to an Andersen dealer with the information from the etched Andersen logo in the corner of the glass and the daylight opening of the bottom glass (the actual glass you see not including the frame). I suggest you replace both balances while your at it.

Andersen balancers will cost between $20 & $30 each.

Jammed Window

Last summer, the wind was blowing and my window came crashing down and closed. I could not get it back opened. It was jammed. During the winter I forgot about it. Well, now that it is nice out again I was reminded that my window does not open. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get this window unjammed. Its an allimunium window. :wall: Thanks!

Need Help With Interior Doors

I have a 91" x 91" area of entry into a room I'd like to make into an office. What are some inexpensive ways I can install some type of French Doors or other door system to fit this area? Would I have to add more drywall? Any idea of cost for this type of project?
