I need help shortening a metal-clad exterior door. I can cut the bottom off to the necessary length, but I fear that the edge will be ragged once I do. Any suggestions? Stu

Hi, Hoping someone here can help with this problem. I have a single exterior garden door with a window insert. The window insert has 15 "panes". I believe the seal is kaput on this insert as the inside panes are foggy. We have been debating our many options in replacing this door, however it was recently suggested that if the door itself is good (which it appears to be), then we just need to have a new window insert made and installed. My question is, how difficult would it be to install the new insert back into the door ourselves? We're not much of DIYers, however if it's not a complicated job, we're willing to try it. Otherwise we're looking at $200 for installation! Thanks!
