Question Existing window opening too big

I've got new vinyl windows on order but just found out that the big picture window we have (Aluminum frame) is too big. Seems company does not/can not make a single unit for 120 in by 66 in opening. I have checked with several other sites (Certainteed, Milguard) and they also do not have a vinyl window this big. I could go with a window with small vents in bottom but that ruins the view. What other options are there? Does anyone know of a mfg that will make a vinyl window this big to fit a 120 by 66 in rough opening????

You didn't say what your rough opening size is. You already have the windows on order, so it is a little late. There may be a solution, so post the RO so we can have a little more data to work with.

Something that big is usually broken up into sections, such as a 3 lite picture window, where you have 3 picture windows that are all equal sizes. (40x66). If you order them common mulled, you get a bit more glass area. (if your company offers that as an option) Usually there are 2 standard "looks": 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 or 1/4, 1/2, 1/4 where the middle portion would be 60x66, while the sides would be 30x66.

Chandler, rough opening is stated in my question. 120 X66 is the current rough opening. I have a single lite double pane al framed window in now. Have ordered all the other windows for the house but this one because at last minute they said they could not build one for vinyl this big. I don't want divided lites, or mullins. Am looking for a co that builds a single lite double pane, vinyl to fit this big opening. Any suggestions???

Ooo. In vinyl, you probably won't find it in a single lite due to the stress that will be applied to the vinyl. You may check the big boys: JeldWen, Peachtree, Pella, Andersen, but in just vinyl without wood, I am doubtful you will find it. I had a single pane in an old mill house about that big with a BB hole in it. No spiders, etc, just a perfectly round hole. Could not find a glazier who could replace it due to its size without mullions, etc.
