I accidently broke the outside glass of a double paned sliding glass door - the moving half not the fixed part of the door. I was wondering if people usually fix the glass itself on the door or get an entirely new sliding door (the moving half only of course)? I wasn't sure if once the "seal" of the double pane is broken if that can be repaired effectively or if it's best to get an entire replacement door. And any idea on what each of these options might cost (I'm in northern VA) would be helpful. If a door replacement is needed how difficult is it to remove the old moving half and install the new one yourself? We're also considering a third option of replacing the sliding glass door with french doors so any thoughts/costs on that would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

:( We have an interior, wooden, hollow door that got slammed back against the wall while we were moving furniture. Now there is a hole in the top right side near the hinge. Is there anyway that this can be repaired or are we stuck buying a new door. Since the door is hollow, I couldn't think of any way to do it. Any ideas would be appreciated.
